A QR code supports digital verification
A QR code, barcode or digital reference can help a receiving organization check an electronic document or confirm information through the issuing system. It does not change the underlying civil record and should not be treated as a universal substitute for every attestation, translation or destination-country requirement.
Ask the receiving authority what it accepts
- Which exact document version is required?
- Can the organization verify the QR code through the official issuing system?
- Is an Arabic or English translation required?
- Will the document be used inside the UAE or in another country?
- Does the destination require a separate authentication chain?
Avoid categorical attestation claims
A passport office, embassy, school, court, immigration body or foreign authority can set its own acceptance rules. A QR-coded certificate may be accepted directly for one purpose and require additional steps for another. Obtain the requirement in writing when practical.
