Attestation confirms official seals and signatures
Attestation does not change the civil record. It authenticates the document for an intended official use, subject to the receiving organization’s requirements.
Ask the receiving organization first
Before paying for any step, ask exactly which document, language, issuing-authority stamp and attestation chain the receiving organization requires.
UAE-issued digital certificates
MoFA states that eligible digital UAE-issued documents carrying a QR code, reference number or barcode may use a digital attestation route. Eligibility depends on the document and service.
Foreign-issued certificates
A foreign certificate may need authentication in its home country and through a UAE mission before MoFA processing in the UAE. Country-specific requirements apply.

Avoid unnecessary duplication
Do not buy translation or attestation steps because a generic blog says they are always required. Confirm the intended use and receiving-body instruction first.
