Information reviewed 8 August 2026. Official procedures can change.
Stage 1: hospital and birth certificate
- Check the hospital birth notification details.
- Prepare the parents’ current identification and case-specific family-status documents.
- Apply through the responsible Dubai or federal health authority.
- Review the issued certificate carefully.
Stage 2: passport or travel document
Use the child’s consulate or nationality-country route. Requirements and appointment availability vary by country. Check whether the birth certificate needs translation or attestation for that application.
Stage 3: residence and identity steps
Confirm the current immigration channel, sponsor eligibility, insurance and document requirements through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security or the relevant Dubai channel.
Keep names consistent
Use the same spelling and sequence across the birth certificate, passport and later records. If the official document is wrong, use a formal correction process before building more records on inconsistent data.
Privacy checklist
- Share documents only through a confirmed secure channel.
- Ask who will access and retain files.
- Redact unnecessary information where accepted.
- Do not place personal documents in public forms or unverified chats.
