Complete each dependency in the correct order
The exact process depends on nationality, sponsorship, residence status and current immigration rules. A common planning sequence begins with the official birth certificate, followed by the child’s passport or travel document, then the applicable UAE residence and identity steps.
Stage 1: birth certificate
Check that names, dates and identity details are consistent before using the certificate in another application. If an error exists, investigate the formal birth-certificate correction route.
Stage 2: passport or travel document
Contact the embassy or consulate representing the child’s nationality. Ask for its current newborn passport requirements, photograph specifications, appointment rules, parent-consent requirements and treatment of the UAE birth certificate.
Stage 3: UAE residence and identity
Once the required nationality document is available, verify the applicable sponsor, insurance, residence and identity steps through ICP or the relevant Dubai channel. Rules and deadlines can change.
